About the position

The Full Time ADON/Wellness Coordinator at Brookdale Kettering is responsible for managing the day-to-day healthcare operations of the community, ensuring that residents' healthcare needs are met with respect and dignity. This role involves overseeing the quality of resident care, supervising nursing staff, and providing ongoing training to caregivers. The position also includes managing medication training and pharmacy management, as well as conducting periodic audits to ensure compliance with Brookdale guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day healthcare operations to meet residents' healthcare needs.
• Ensure residents are treated with respect and dignity while providing quality care.
• Assume the role of Caregiver or Med Tech/Aide as needed to meet staffing requirements.
• Supervise community-based licensed nursing staff, medication technicians/CMA's, and Caregivers.
• Provide ongoing training and education to Caregivers, including classroom in-services and situation-specific training.
• Manage associates' schedules and oversee medication training and pharmacy management.
• Conduct periodic medication skills inventory checks and medication audits per Brookdale guidelines.
• Share on-call duties as required.

Requirements

• Education required to obtain state nursing license (LPN/LVN or RN).
• Minimum of 1-2 years relevant experience in healthcare.
