About the position

The Wellness Coordinator at Foundry Treatment Center is responsible for planning and implementing wellness programs aimed at promoting health and wellness for clients in recovery. This role involves designing activities, educating clients on healthy lifestyle choices, and ensuring the safety and effectiveness of wellness initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement wellness programming provided at Foundry Front Range.
  • Educate clients on healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Oversee offsite activities, coordinating necessary equipment, transportation, reservations, etc.
  • Ensure adequate staff is available and prepared for activities.
  • Collaborate with Clinical department to plan activities.
  • Coordinate with Medical to ensure Functional Movement Screens are completed for each client.
  • Promote and ensure safety of clients at all times.
  • Oversee client physical exercise programs.
  • Develop professional relationships with outside organizations that create wellness, spiritual learning, and community service opportunities.
  • Develop an individualized wellness continuing care plan for clients to implement upon discharge.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to facility policies and procedures, State & Federal law, and accrediting agency regulations and standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Three plus years of professional experience in the health/wellness/fitness industry.
  • Health and wellness certification or Wilderness First Responder certification preferred.
  • Valid, non-restricted, Colorado driver's license with clean driving record.
  • Current CPR certification or ability to gain certification within the first 30 days of hire.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

  • Knowledge of industry and trauma-integrated care preferred.
  • Experience leading group activities.
  • Knowledge of nutritional values.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate individuals regardless of engagement.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to think creatively and share ideas.
