The Welding Technician position at Fibrebond Corporation involves performing welding and fabrication tasks as specified in blueprints. Responsibilities
- Reads blueprints for specifications.
- Welds all necessary components including floors, walls, and roofs as specified in blueprints.
- Welds all mechanical components as required.
- Performs all welding and fabrication tasks in the plant as specified by the supervisor.
- Uses grinder to smooth welding surfaces.
- Performs other duties as required by job order or assigned by supervisor.
- Carries out basic cleaning duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous welding experience is required.
- Must be able to pass 1G and 3G x-rayed weld test.
- Basic math skills are necessary.
- Ability to read blueprints is essential.
- Must be able to read a tape measure to within 1/16th of an inch.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Good judgment and attention to detail are necessary.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and assimilate information is required.
- Must maintain satisfactory working relationships and interact effectively with all levels of employees.
- Required to maintain confidentiality of trade secrets, processes, customers, etc.
