The Weekend Part Time Warehouse Associate position at Cardinal Health involves working on Saturdays and Sundays from 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with a pay rate of $22.20 per hour, which includes a shift differential. This role is part of the Warehouse Operations team, which is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. The Warehouse Operations team plays a crucial role in the warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management, and demand, supply, and manufacturing planning. The associate will assist in both inbound and outbound activities as requested by the Warehouse Supervisor, ensuring that quality, safety, productivity, and operational standards are met. In this role, the associate will follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to process orders, which includes accurately picking items, performing quality control checks, sorting, consolidating freight, building and wrapping pallets, packing, loading, and preparing orders for shipment. The associate will also be responsible for picking large case items using material handling equipment or picking small unit of measure items and placing them on designated carts. Cross-training in multiple areas of the warehouse and participation in projects as needed are also part of the job responsibilities. The associate will utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to check in and/or send out products and will drive material handling equipment as required by job duties, which may include order pickers, forklifts, reach trucks, turret trucks, pallet jacks, and walkie riders. The position requires maintaining a clean and safe work environment, completing housekeeping and inventory control tasks, and working on routine assignments that may require problem resolution. The associate will participate in meetings and communicate any concerns to management, while performing all job duties in accordance with OSHA standards and adhering to all policies, rules, regulations, and procedures set by the organization.
