About the position
The Weekend & After-Hours Team Lead for Solid Waste at Rutherford County Government is responsible for leading a team in collection and disposal activities. Responsibilities
- Lead a team of workers in collection and disposal activities.
- Operate and drive heavy equipment and large trucks/vehicles.
- Supervise the work of assigned staff and coordinate training for newly hired drivers.
- Maintain safety and inspection records for equipment.
- Dispatch collection staff on weekends and Mondays.
- Coordinate routine maintenance for collection and disposal equipment with fleet mechanics.
- Act as the point of contact for events requiring decisions during operational hours on weekends.
Requirements
- Experience in heavy equipment operation.
