About the position

The Wealth Planner at Huntington Private Bank is responsible for managing the financial planning experience for high-net-worth clients, specifically those with assets ranging from $1 million to $10 million. This role involves collaboration with internal advisors to build, present, and review financial plans, as well as providing training on planning and discovery processes. The Wealth Planner ensures the quality and consistency of financial plans and continuously refines training curriculums for internal advisors.

Responsibilities

  • Review the first couple of plans for each internal advisor new to planning and review a sample size of plans for all other advisors to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Build and present plans for complex client situations or for newer advisors.
  • Collaborate with internal advisors on planning strategies during the planning process.
  • Continuously build and refine training curriculums on planning and discovery for internal advisors.
  • Provide planning and software training to internal advisors, including data gathering, inputting, modeling, and presenting.
  • Conduct discovery training for field advisors to identify clients' priorities, goals, and planning issues.
  • Assist in building and presenting Wealth Insights.
  • Support Wealth Strategists as needed.
  • Maintain and expand knowledge within the planning environment through continuous education and research.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 8+ years of related experience

Nice-to-haves

  • CPA, CFP or CWS
  • Strong knowledge of investments, estate planning, retirement and cash flow, education planning, business planning, benefits planning, risk management, philanthropic planning, credit, and liquidity
  • Demonstrated client advisory and servicing skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Competency with Money Guide Pro, eMoney, MS Windows and Office Products & Salesforce
