Water Safety Instructor- LSG

As a Water Safety Instructor, you play a critical role in saving lives by teaching children how to become safe and confident swimmers. You'll create a fun, engaging, and safe learning environment while building meaningful relationships with families. Requirements
- Ability to work at least two shifts per week
- Comfortable in the water and able to swim
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive, energetic, and patient attitude
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with children (coaching, teaching, camps, babysitting, etc.)
- Aquatics experience (lifeguarding, swim team, instructing)
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging swim lessons using the Aqua-Tots curriculum for all ages and skill levels
- Maintain constant awareness of pool safety and follow all safety procedures, including Minor In-Water Incident protocols
- Connect with families and provide updates on student progress and development
- Answer parent questions and confidently explain curriculum, progression, and next steps
- Check pool chemicals, log results, and ensure the pool area is clean, organized, and safe
- Assist with cleaning tasks including pool deck, windows, and showers
- Complete Aqua-Cards accurately at the end of each shift
- Attend trainings, staff meetings, and support team goals under the guidance of the Lead on Duty
