About The Position

As a Water Safety Instructor, you play a critical role in saving lives by teaching children how to become safe and confident swimmers. Requirements

Ability to work at least two shifts per week
Comfortable in the water and able to swim
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Positive, energetic, and patient attitude
Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn

Nice To Haves

Experience working with children (coaching, teaching, camps, babysitting, etc.)
Aquatics experience (lifeguarding, swim team, instructing)

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging swim lessons using the Aqua-Tots curriculum for all ages and skill levels
Maintain constant awareness of pool safety and follow all safety procedures, including Minor In-Water Incident protocols
Connect with families and provide updates on student progress and development
Answer parent questions and confidently explain curriculum, progression, and next steps
Check pool chemicals, log results, and ensure the pool area is clean, organized, and safe
Assist with cleaning tasks including pool deck, windows, and showers
Complete Aqua-Cards accurately at the end of each shift
Attend trainings, staff meetings, and support team goals under the guidance of the Lead on Duty
