About the position

Arcadis is seeking interns for its Water Business Line in Rochester, NY, focusing on planning, design, and construction administration for water, wastewater, stormwater, and water management projects. Interns will engage in technical responsibilities including facilities planning, project design, permitting, and construction administration, contributing to the development of design reports and construction documents. This role offers the opportunity to work on significant projects that enhance public infrastructure and improve quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, process evaluations, detailed design, and construction administration for water/wastewater/stormwater projects.
• Conduct site visits and observe construction activities.
• Collect samples and analyze water quality data.
• Evaluate technologies and plant operations, troubleshoot processes, and optimize operations.
• Conduct condition assessments and performance evaluations of water/wastewater/stormwater facilities.
• Prepare and deliver effective presentations and participate in client meetings.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a closely related field.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously and possess strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
