About the position

The position involves ensuring that general warehouse responsibilities are performed according to established procedures and completed accurately. This includes tasks such as order pulling, order filling, quality control, and shipping and receiving. The role requires close collaboration with other warehouse staff for the receiving of raw goods and for inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipments.
• Prepare and maintain documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials.
• Handle shipping (packaging and loading) and receiving (unpacking and unloading) of materials from customers, vendors, or other offices.
• Assemble containers and crates, pack goods to be shipped.
• May operate forklift, hand truck, or other equipment to load, unload, transport, and store goods.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must be available for a full-time (40 hour) work week.
• Must be available for overtime work when necessary.
• Must be able to access, input, and retrieve data from a database.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to push/pull objects (e.g., handcarts).
• Must be certified to operate a forklift.
