About the position

The Warehouse Worker in the Receiving Department is responsible for safely and efficiently moving pallets of products to their designated storage locations. This role involves verifying product details against purchase orders, entering information into the warehouse management system, and ensuring temperature integrity of products upon receipt. The position requires a commitment to safety and teamwork, with opportunities for cross-training and skill development.

Responsibilities

  • Safely move pallets of product from staging to storage locations.
  • Verify proper temperature, case counts, and lot codes against inbound purchase orders.
  • Enter information into the MLCo Warehouse Management System (Cadence) using electronic handhelds.
  • Ensure items are taken to the correct temperature zone immediately after check-in and breakdown.
  • Accurately unload trucks using electric pallet jack or reach truck.
  • Match MLCo purchase orders to vendor pack lists/invoices accurately.
  • Document product temperatures and maintain records.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate and become certified on an electric pallet jack, pallet rider, or forklift.
  • Commitment to MLCo safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work overtime and holidays if needed.
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for 8 hours.
  • Ability to lift 5-45 lbs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving department.
