About the position

U.S. Electrical Services, Inc. - USESI is the country's largest independent electrical wholesale distributor comprised of 14 regional businesses, over 100 years of experience, and more than 2,000 employees. USESI/Lade Electric has an immediate opening for a Warehouse Worker- Order Picking- Second Shift within our Tucker, GA distribution center. We are looking for dedicated and team-oriented individuals to join our team. The Outbound Order Checker on the 2nd shift is responsible for verifying and ensuring the accuracy of orders before they are shipped to customers. This role involves checking the contents of orders against shipping documents, ensuring the correct quantities and products are included, and maintaining high standards of quality control. The Outbound Order Checker works closely with the shipping team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

Responsibilities

  • Verify the accuracy of outbound orders by comparing items and quantities to the packing list and shipping documents.
  • Inspect products for damage, defects, and proper labeling.
  • Ensure that all orders meet company standards for accuracy and quality.
  • Report any discrepancies, damages, or quality issues to the Shipping Supervisor.
  • Accurately document any discrepancies or issues found during the checking process.
  • Maintain detailed and organized records of checked orders.
  • Work closely with the shipping team to coordinate the packing and shipping of orders.
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and supervisors regarding any issues or concerns.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while performing order checking tasks.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, shipping, or quality control role preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry and use of inventory/shipping software.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and bending.
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
