About The Position

Responsible for the daily/weekly maintaining of pallet tracking (where applicable), audit of driver logs and trip reports, log and driver file DOT requirements tracking. Acts as a liaison for internal customer support. Tracks all return goods as directed by the customer for close out of returns from the private fleet.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required
  • Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required
  • Flexible to work overtime preferred
  • Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions required
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required
  • Complete a Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
  • The associate will be required to remember and understand certain instructions, guidelines, or other information.
  • The associate must be able to see and verbally communicate.
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.

Responsibilities

  • Completing physical inventories, random audits and reconciliations
  • Track and report non-conforming product
  • Perform full audits on picked pallet for Focus and New Stores
  • Resolve inventory problems in a timely manner
  • Research and reconcile product discrepancies/variances of over/under amounts and damaged products
  • Work with warehouse personnel to ensure proper rotation and location of all inventory
  • Conduct searches in order to locate misclassified inventory
  • Maintain product identification and location program
  • Communicate and develop process enhancements as needed (performs root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and recommends process improvements to eliminate them)
