About the position

The Warehouse Worker position involves receiving, storing, and shipping products in a unionized environment. The role is primarily focused on ensuring efficient warehouse operations, including order picking and packing, while adhering to safety and quality standards. Workers are expected to operate equipment such as forklifts and reach trucks, with opportunities for additional pay upon certification.

Responsibilities

• Receive and put away inbound receipts from vendors.
• Pick outbound orders.
• Provide general warehouse labor support.
• Visually inspect products for defects and set aside defective items for rework.
• Pack items in designated cartons per customer orders.
• Place identification labels on outbound shipments.
• Report discrepancies to supervisor.

Requirements

• Basic math skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours.
• Ability to lift frequently up to 15-35 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Warehouse experience preferred, willing to train the right candidate.
• Forklift, reach trucks, and other D/C equipment operation experience preferred, but willing to train.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in warehouse operations.
• Certification as a Forklift Operator.
