About The Position

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Warehouse Manager with managing, planning, and coordinating the activities of shipping, receiving and the stockrooms. This is a supervisor level position that has no direct reports and reports to the Warehouse Manager.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of supervisory/management experience, including inventory management
  • 6+ years of total related experience
  • Ability to work Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 5 am to 5:30 pm each day
  • Must be able to legally work in the US without sponsorship
  • Must be able to read, write and speak Standard English for routine business correspondence and for producing work products
  • Must be able to adhere to all established safety policies, processes, and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Manages, plans, and coordinates all Warehouse activities
  • Supervises and directs all assigned personnel, ensuring optimal performance
  • Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
  • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
  • Maintains warehouse staff by orienting and training employees
  • Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Assumes responsibility for the maintenance and safety compliance of Warehouse facilities
  • Assumes responsibility for ensuring professional business relations with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and external contacts
  • Effectively supervises stockroom, shipping and receiving personnel, ensuring optimal performance
  • Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned
