About the position

The Warehouse Supervisor at Warren Oil Company, Inc. is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, ensuring a safe working environment, and driving continuous improvement in manufacturing processes. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage a team, meet production schedules, and maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively implement, promote and maintain a safe working environment and OSHA compliance.
  • Establish and maintain an environment conducive to continuous improvement in manufacturing; recommend alternatives for improving production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions.
  • Participate in and direct problem-solving meetings and activities (i.e. accident investigations, quality concerns, etc.).
  • Lead manufacturing team in achieving schedules and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Foster innovation and promote continuous learning and lean manufacturing.
  • Facilitate and advise employees within the assigned department to meet value stream goals, departmental goals, and balance scorecard objectives.
  • Attain established schedules and drive work order performance.
  • Conduct weekly cycle counts while assisting with root cause analysis and implement solutions to drive inventory record accuracy performance.
  • Drive activities to reduce past due, scrap, rework and overtime cost while meeting quality objectives.
  • Drive activities to improve on-time delivery, labor utilization and productivity.
  • Conduct process checks within areas of responsibility and monitor performance to establish standard work formats and pacing boards.
  • Train, evaluate, coach, and develop subordinates to help them meet established objectives and improve their overall performance and competencies.
  • Maintain and consistently administer local policies to meet day to day operating requirements while ensuring that all regulatory standards and company policies are understood, supported, and followed on the production floor.
  • Promote positive employee relations and monitor the performance of employees to ensure success within the manufacturing environment, identifying and implementing improvement opportunities.

Requirements

  • 2 year degree - preferred
  • 3+ years supervisory experience required preferably in a Warehouse manufacturing process environment.
  • 3+ years experience of OTC and personal care bulk manufacturing is required.
  • Experience as a key trainer for equipment and procedures required.
  • Ability to climb ladders and to work under machines as required.
  • Working knowledge of production scheduling activities required.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal, written, presentational and interpersonal).
  • Proven ability to organize, plan and prioritize tasks within a high volume, varied workload.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products, Microsoft Project knowledge preferred.
  • Working knowledge of computerized inventory systems preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours required.
