Warehouse Specialist – Inventory, Shipping & Receiving
About The Position

We are looking for a detail-oriented Warehouse Specialist in Indianapolis, IN to support shipping, receiving, and inventory control. This position plays a critical part in ensuring inventory accuracy, material flow, and operational efficiency to support engineering and project execution. This is a hands-on warehouse position requiring experience in logistics, inventory management, and ERP/WMS systems.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required, Associate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations
- Minimum 4+ years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory control experience
- Experience using ERP systems or WMS platforms required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and best practices
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 55 lbs

Responsibilities
- Perform daily warehouse operations: receiving, inspection, put-away, picking, packing, staging, and shipping
- Verify inbound shipments for accuracy, condition, and documentation compliance
- Process transactions using ERP or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure system integrity
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and shipment issues
- Conduct cycle counts and support inventory audits
- Ensure proper material handling, labeling, and storage standards
- Coordinate with purchasing, logistics, and internal teams to resolve material issues
- Prepare materials to support engineering and project teams
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant warehouse environment
- Follow all warehouse safety, quality, and operational procedures
- Other duties as assigned
