About the position
The Warehouse Receiving Associate is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and processing incoming shipments to ensure accurate distribution or storage of products and materials. This role involves close collaboration with the warehouse and inventory management teams to maintain an efficient receiving process.
Responsibilities
- Receive product in order of date arrived or by priority.
- Locate order numbers and types (TSR, JPUS, P.O).
- Accurately locate part numbers and quantities ordered.
- Utilize NAV to check in parts and record locations.
- Contact the purchasing department regarding receiving errors.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy when placing products in the proper location.
- Utilize the no-location area and record information as necessary.
- Communicate with Inventory Control regarding any location errors.
- Manage, sign, and complete all required paperwork and turn it in to the proper area.
- Safely operate both the Counterbalance Lift Truck and the Narrow Aisle Lift Truck.
- Load and unload containers and vans as needed.
- Check and receive Annual Returns.
Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact with other individuals and departments in a professional and respectful way.
- Certification on both forklift and reach truck.
- Knowledgeable of NAV and how to navigate through the system.
- Ability to stand for at least 8 hours and perform tasks including pushing, pulling, grasping, and lifting objects up to 70lbs.
- Ability to work in hot and cool temperatures.
