About The Position

AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, ensuring the cloud runs smoothly. This involves managing data centers and all associated equipment. The team is looking for talented individuals to help manage the complexities of the supply chain. The role involves collaborating with a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers across AWS to maintain high standards of safety and security, provide scalable capacity at the lowest cost, and foster an inclusive culture that encourages bold ideas and empowers employees to see them through to completion. This position is located in Austin, TX or Bellevue WA. AWS Infrastructure is seeking a talented, driven, and highly analytical Contract Logistics Procurement Manager to join the AWS Infrastructure Supply Chain (AIS) team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and communication skills, a passion for data-driven decision-making, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. They will excel at providing timely, accurate, and actionable business intelligence and decision support.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of program, project or product management, or leading product implementation experience
  • 6+ years of related industry experience
  • 8+ years of data analysis using tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of high volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in data analysis using tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, or equivalent
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Experience in global supply chain management, managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced consumer electronics product company
  • Experience in program, project or product management, or leading product implementation

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Experience in data centers, infrastructure service providers, or related technology companies
  • Experience in negotiations with global suppliers with a proven track record in cost reduction

Responsibilities

  • Lead sourcing, procurement, and contract operations for global contract logistics and warehousing services.
  • Establish annual financial plans and create operating rhythms to measure execution against established targets.
  • Build and manage operating rhythms to simplify and automate business processes, ensuring compliance with agreed terms and reducing procurement lead times.
  • Draft contractual requirements in cooperation with business partners to encourage continued customer focus and deliver reduced service costs.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including contractual negotiations, service performance, and capability development.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis to identify opportunities, present written business recommendations, and lead global projects aimed at reducing service costs.
