The Warehouse Person (Loader) position at PepsiCo Beverages North America is a labor-intensive role that involves the hand building of pallets of products for bulk and route trucks. This position requires strict attention to order accuracy, ensuring that outgoing trucks are loaded correctly and incoming trucks are unloaded efficiently. Employees will work from an electronic order system or order sheets to build loads, utilizing a forklift and/or electronic pallet jack. Accuracy in loading and compliance with shipper/receiver documentation are critical components of this role. Additionally, maintaining a clean and safe work environment is essential, as employees may be required to work in various weather conditions and the shift duration may vary based on workload. The responsibilities include transporting truck loading, which involves moving full pallets of products from the warehouse onto a trailer and removing any returned pallets or plastic flats. Bulk truck loading requires selecting designated packages and flavors of products from the warehouse and loading them onto a pallet, ensuring the stability of the pallet through proper stacking and shrink-wrapping. Route truck loading involves customizing product/packages for each truck based on the salesperson's order, and unloading returned products and pallets/plastic flats. The position demands lifting a high volume of cases, typically between 20-45 pounds, repeatedly throughout the work period, along with constant standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and grasping as products are moved.
