The Warehouse Person (Loader) position at PepsiCo Beverages North America is a labor-intensive role primarily focused on the accurate loading and unloading of products in a warehouse environment. This position requires strict attention to detail to ensure that outgoing trucks are loaded correctly and that incoming trucks are unloaded efficiently. The employee will work from an electronic order system or order sheets to build loads using a forklift and/or electronic pallet jack. Accuracy in loading and compliance with shipper/receiver documentation is crucial. The role also involves maintaining a clean and safe work environment, which is essential for operational efficiency and safety standards. The responsibilities include transporting truck loading, which involves moving full pallets of products from the warehouse onto a trailer and managing the return of pallets and plastic flats. Bulk truck loading requires selecting specific packages and flavors of products from the warehouse and loading them onto a pallet, ensuring the stability of the pallet through proper stacking and shrink-wrapping. Route truck loading involves customizing product/packages for each truck based on sales orders, which requires unloading returned products and pallets as well. This position demands physical endurance, as it requires lifting a high volume of cases, typically between 20-45 pounds, repeatedly throughout the shift. Employees must be prepared for constant standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and grasping as they move products. The shift duration may vary daily based on workload, and employees may be required to work in various weather conditions.
