About the position

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor at Zurn Elkay Water Solutions Corporation is responsible for leading and managing warehouse activities within the service center, focusing on safety, quality, engagement, and performance aligned with company KPIs. This role involves coaching and developing an operational team, overseeing day-to-day operations, and ensuring efficient processes in the regional distribution center.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the regional distribution center, ensuring efficient and timely inbound processes.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to streamline processes and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Implement best practices to maximize productivity in receiving and handling incoming shipments.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve distribution center performance.
  • Develop and implement inventory control strategies to minimize discrepancies and ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Utilize technology and systems to track and manage inventory effectively.
  • Establish and enforce quality control procedures to meet or exceed industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality issues.
  • Conduct regular inspections and implement measures to improve overall product quality.
  • Ensure strict adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Uphold safety and compliance standards.
  • Lead and inspire a team of distribution center staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and training to team members to enhance performance and skill development.
  • Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet operational demands.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations within the distribution center.
  • Conduct regular safety training sessions and promote a culture of safety among team members.
  • Investigate and address any safety concerns or incidents promptly.
  • Cultivate a positive organizational culture.
  • Encourage teamwork, innovation, and a commitment to excellence.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Implement and oversee continuous improvement initiatives within the distribution center.

Requirements

  • Preferred bachelor's degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Proven experience in distribution center management, with a focus on inbound and inventory control/quality assurance operations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant technologies.
