Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe and secure work environment
- Maintain warehouse procedures and safety standards
- Maintain a clean and professional facility
- Ensure all equipment is maintained in a safe operational condition
- Manage inventory of packaging materials and supplies
- Provide input to equipment procurement and maintenance, and facility repair
- Oversee the processes in the area of responsibility, following operational standards (OPS) and KPI expectations
- Improve safety, quality, delivery and cost through continuous improvement methods
- Load/unload, segregation and accurate labeling of cargo
- Maintain compliance to facility certification requirements and government policies
- Participate in transitioning new customers and implementation processes
- Manage, prevent, and resolve inventory, over/short/damage, process and customer exceptions
- Perform process audits to ensure security and safety of people, facility, and freight
Requirements
- Expertise in warehouse operations & supporting technology
- Stand-Up forklift experience required
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable with statistics and analysis
