About the position

The Warehouse Material Handler position at McGrath RentCorp involves loading and unloading materials within a warehouse or storage facility. The role requires the use of handling equipment such as hand trucks and forklifts to manage inventory and ensure the organization of the warehouse. The Material Handler will also be responsible for fulfilling orders, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to safety protocols in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload material within a warehouse or storage facility.
  • Utilize hand trucks, forklifts, or other handling equipment to move material to and from trucks.
  • Receive, unpack, check, and store merchandise or materials.
  • Fulfill requisitions and orders, pack, crate, and ship products to distribution centers or assembly lines.
  • Maintain and execute materials management programs within the warehouse.
  • Document and maintain inventory and ensure production area organization and cleanliness.
  • Keep the warehouse area organized and clean, including waste management.
  • Operate forklifts to receive shipments and stack supplies and materials.
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures while performing tasks.
  • May operate a company vehicle to retrieve stock from local suppliers.

Requirements

  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in variable weather conditions.
  • Ability to read and follow spoken and written instructions.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
  • Ability to manage time and adhere to schedules.
  • Prior experience in related work is required.
  • Current certification in forklift operations and valid driver's license may be required.
