About the position

This position is contingent upon contract award and will be located onsite in either the southeast, southwest, or central United States. Travel will likely be required. The role involves overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse facility, generating work assignments, managing schedules, setting priorities, assigning daily tasks, and reviewing employee performance. The position also includes coordinating and prioritizing activities of warehouse employees engaged in receiving, cataloging, tagging, maintaining, storing, packing, and shipping inventory. Ensuring materials are received, stored, shipped, and reported in accordance with established procedures and government guidelines/regulations is crucial, as well as managing procedures and controls for hazardous material shipments. The candidate will ensure the safety of the workforce by educating employees on proper procedures and safety guidelines, striving to achieve an accident-free workplace. Participation in meetings and task force groups to improve quality and outcomes is also expected.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse facility
  • Generate work assignments, manage schedules, set priorities, assign daily tasks, and review employee performance
  • Coordinate and prioritize activities of warehouse employees engaged in receiving, cataloging, tagging, maintaining, storing, packing, and shipping inventory
  • Assign appropriate resources, determine objectives and procedures, and monitor results to ensure inventory is accurate
  • Ensure materials are received, stored, shipped, and reported in accordance with established procedures and government guidelines/regulations
  • Manage procedures and controls for hazardous material shipments
  • Educate employees on proper procedures and safety guidelines to ensure workforce safety
  • Attend and participate in meetings and task force groups to improve quality and outcomes
  • Assist with managing day-to-day activities and prioritizing tasks
  • Comply with all applicable Acuity standards and guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient with computer software programs including Microsoft Office
  • Four or more years of progressively responsible experience in a logistical/warehouse environment desired
  • Recent experience within the past year preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Proficient in the ability to speak, write and communicate in English
  • Knowledge or experience in the handling and management of government property strongly desired
  • Hazardous materials certification preferred
  • Participate in training, including HIPAA training
  • Have and maintain current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
