About the position

Ryder is seeking a Permanent Full Time Inventory Management Attendant to join their team in Powder Springs, Georgia. This role involves managing inbound products in a warehouse environment, ensuring efficient operations while maintaining safety standards. The position offers a competitive hourly wage and a comprehensive benefits package starting after 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Package, kit and/or assemble orders and materials.
• Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers, ensuring all scanning is completed correctly.
• Help train dock employees on new procedures.
• Ensure facility security at the end of the shift and investigate/resolve scanning issues and housekeeping.
• Perform picking and packing duties, checking for evidence of product or container damage.
• Perform assigned tasks as per location's policies and procedures standards, including handling materials within associated logical transactions.
• Participate in workgroup and team activities for self-improvement and improving warehouse operations.
• Perform housekeeping duties for the assigned area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have a clean driving record and be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Check.
• Comfortable using a computer for data entry.
• Experience with forklifts and pallet jacks is required.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted.
• Good customer service skills.
• Six months of related warehouse experience required, with one year preferred.
• Powered industrial truck certification preferred.
• Ability to read and perform basic mathematics in English for safety and work instructions.
• Ability to input data into the WMS computer system.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience operating manual and/or automated warehouse/manufacturing equipment preferred.
• Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
