About The Position

Responsible for all warehouse functions to include verifying accuracy of all inbound and outbound shipments, movement of inventory, and other duties as assigned. Actively be involved in the overall day to day shipping, receiving, and warehousing duties as prioritized by the Warehouse Supervisor. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and understand shipping documents and related paperwork.
  • 3 years experience in an automated warehouse environment.
  • Ability to be trained to use applicable systems.
  • Must be able to operate material handling equipment, pallet mover, and a shrink wrap machine.
  • Must be certified to use a fork lift and/or reach truck according to OSHA guidelines.
  • Basic Math Skills

Responsibilities

  • Direct co-workers by assigning tasks in the order they should be completed.
  • Help to maintain high efficiency and accuracy levels.
  • Maintain storage and drop trailers.
  • Oversee housekeeping responsibilities such as sweeping, trash removal, etc.
  • Be involved in the training of Temporary staff or new hires.
  • Work with the supervisor to accomplish any special projects.
  • Act as back-up to supervisor when supervisor is out.
  • Assist warehouse employees as needed to insure a consistent flow of inbound/outbound.
  • Oversee the unloading of cartons and or pallets from all inbound shipments.
  • Oversee pallets of loose cartons as they are being unloaded from the container.
  • Utilize RF / Terminal to receive inventory against open PO’s into the AS400.
  • Work with receivers as necessary.
  • Assist in auditing Kohls, Tuesday Morning and other loads as necessary.
  • Receive inbound product information in the AS400.
  • Stretch wrap the entire completed pallet according to specific customer / receiving guidelines.
  • Record carton count on each pallet, and attach any necessary labels according to specific customer guidelines.
  • Move wrapped pallets to the staging area in a safe and organized manner according to customer, truck line, QC staging or receiving requirements.
  • Ensure that all pallets belonging to a specific shipment are placed together in the staging area.
  • Verify that the truck driver’s paperwork (load #, appointment #, or pick up#) matches load sheet to pick ticket.
  • Notify immediate supervisor of any discrepancies.
  • Load the correct pallets onto the truck safely and in such a manner as to maximize the load space.
  • Ensure that the load is complete prior to releasing the driver.
  • Verify that physical counts are accurately entered/scanned into WMS/Freedman systems.
  • Ensure system transactions coincide with all physical inventory movement real-time.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy within the warehouse area.
  • Perform duties in such a way to ensure the safety of oneself and one’s co-workers.
