About the position
As a Warehouse Bulk Full Time 2nd Shift associate at Staples, you will play a crucial role in the supply chain by operating material handling equipment and performing various warehouse tasks. This position involves working in different areas of the warehouse, including bulk handling, receiving, replenishment, and shipping, while adhering to safety procedures and maintaining a clean work environment. You will be essential in ensuring the efficient delivery of products to customers and upholding the company's safety culture.
Responsibilities
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to pick and move products within the warehouse.
- Perform general cleaning and maintenance duties inside and outside the facility.
- Confirm accuracy of products during receiving and address discrepancies and damages with colleagues.
- Manually unload trucks and palletize products as needed.
- Organize, stack, and shrink-wrap customer orders on pallets for shipping.
- Maintain a safe and clean workspace while performing all tasks.
Requirements
- Minimum three (3) months related experience in a warehouse environment or equivalent training and education.
- Ability to pass a drug screen legally permissible.
- Basic English language skills for verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work additional hours beyond the scheduled shift as needed.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull boxes/merchandise weighing between 70 to 100 pounds by hand.
- Ability to walk and stand for 100% of the time.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Nice-to-haves
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
- Prior experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and cherry pickers.
