The position involves receiving, storing, and distributing cylinders and products within the warehouse. The individual will operate the fill room and dry ice equipment, performing various duties to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
Turns all lights in warehouse on and starts dry ice machines.
Cuts and packages dry ice for daily deliveries according to pull sheets.
Fills CO2, propane, and other gas cylinders for daily deliveries according to pull sheets.
Pulls all bag in the box products for daily deliveries according to pull sheets and places at loading dock.
Assists drivers with loading their trucks.
Hydro tests cylinders.
Unloads all vendor deliveries.
Loads and unloads Rochester truck.
Performs and records general maintenance on various machines and forklifts.
Performs routine cleaning of warehouse and exterior of building.
Provides over the counter customers with purchased products.
Performs perimeter check, ensures warehouse is secured, and makes sure all lights and machinery are shut down at the end of the day.
Scans all cylinders with handheld that are returned from customers and after refilling.
Performs weekly inventory of syrups and juice products and sends to purchasing.
Performs monthly inspection of fire extinguishers and emergency lighting.
Requirements
Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
