About the position

DICK'S Sporting Goods is looking for Warehouse Associates to join their distribution center team in Plainfield, IN. This full-time role involves various tasks related to the unloading, loading, staging, and warehousing of products, ensuring safe and efficient operations. The position offers different shifts with additional pay incentives for specific schedules.

Responsibilities

• Unload, load, stage, and warehouse cartons following safe and secure procedures.
• Safely operate manual and mechanical equipment according to established procedures.
• Complete all documentation accurately and report errors to the Department Supervisor.
• Verify purchase orders, location numbers, and case pack quantities before receiving, picking, or loading merchandise.
• Determine appropriate placement of pallets based on box size and product.
• Practice safe material handling methods and distribute merchandise according to processing standards.
• Perform spot checks to ensure merchandise is sorted correctly.

Requirements

• Achieve equipment operator certification on the job and operate as necessary for the position.
• Willingness to be trained and operate radio frequency (RF) scanning equipment as necessary.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, push, pull, and lift cartons/bins weighing approximately 10-50 pounds repetitively.
• Ability to keep pace with production standards.
• Basic reading comprehension and numerical reasoning skills.
• Manual dexterity.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
