About the position

RWC International is seeking motivated and driven Technicians at various skill levels to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on commercial vehicles. Responsibilities

  • Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy according to company and factory standards.
  • Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
  • Save and tag parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
  • Examine assigned vehicles to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
  • Communicate with service advisor/leadman regarding additional work needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
  • Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
  • Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.
  • Keep abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
  • Supervise the work of any apprentice technicians as assigned.
  • Maintain and be accountable for all company-owned tools and manuals.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License required; CDL license preferred.
  • Hands-on experience as a diesel technician, preferably with dealership experience.
  • Navistar Engine and Cummins Engine Certification preferred.
  • ASE Certification preferred.
  • Diagnostic skill/experience and attention to detail.
  • Considerable knowledge of the design, adjustment, operations, maintenance, and repair of diversified mechanical and electrical equipment including light, medium, and heavy diesel engines.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check and a pre-hire drug and alcohol test.
