About the position
As a VP - Senior Wealth Consultant at Charles Schwab, you will provide high-touch service and comprehensive guidance to Ultra-High Net Worth (UHNW) clients, managing their complex wealth management needs. This role involves financial planning, estate planning, investment management, and more, with a focus on retaining existing clients and attracting new ones. You will partner with wealth specialists to deliver tailored solutions and develop customized financial strategies for clients, ensuring adherence to compliance and risk management standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage a practice of primarily Ultra-HNW clients and provide world-class service.
- Retain existing clients, attract new clients, and generate growth measured by AUM and client promoter scores.
- Partner with wealth specialists to offer solutions including banking, lending, and trust services.
- Analyze and assess client needs to find appropriate wealth management solutions.
- Develop customized financial strategies for prospects and existing clients.
- Demonstrate understanding of retirement income advice and distribution processes.
- Deepen relationships with clients through engagement and ongoing service.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree highly preferred.
- Wealth Management designation (e.g., CWS, CFA, CFP) highly preferred.
- Active & valid FINRA Series 7 license required.
- Active & valid FINRA Series 66 (63/65) license required.
- Active & valid Life & Health insurance (or may be obtained within 90 days of employment).
- 7+ years industry experience required.
- 2+ years UHNW experience required.
Nice-to-haves
- Professional designations/certifications (e.g., CFP, CFA, MBA, CHFC, CPWA) highly preferred.
