About the position
As a VP - Senior Wealth Consultant at Charles Schwab, you will provide high-touch service and comprehensive guidance to Ultra-High-Net-Worth (UHNW) clients, managing their complex wealth management needs. This role involves developing customized financial strategies, retaining and attracting clients, and collaborating with wealth specialists to offer a range of financial solutions. You will be responsible for analyzing client needs and delivering tailored advice across various investment and financial planning areas.
Responsibilities
- Manage a practice of primarily Ultra-HNW clients, providing world-class service for complex wealth management needs.
- Retain existing clients, attract new clients, and generate growth as measured by AUM and client promoter scores.
- Partner with wealth specialists to offer solutions including banking, lending, and trust services.
- Develop customized financial strategies for prospects and existing clients.
- Demonstrate understanding of retirement income advice and distribution processes for clients in retirement.
- Deepen relationships with clients through engagement, discovery, and ongoing service.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree highly preferred.
- Wealth Management designation (e.g., CWS, CFA, CFP) highly preferred.
- Active & valid FINRA Series 7 license required.
- Active & valid FINRA Series 66 (63/65) license required.
- Active & valid Life & Health insurance (or may be obtained within 90 days of employment).
- 7+ years industry experience.
- 2+ years UHNW experience.
Nice-to-haves
- Professional designations/certifications (e.g., CFP, CFA, MBA, CHFC, CPWA) highly preferred.
