About the position

The VP, Relationship Manager at Enterprise Bank & Trust is responsible for developing and managing new commercial loan accounts and client relationships while enhancing existing customer relationships. This role requires a proactive approach in providing financial solutions to clients, increasing the bank's deposit base, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The position involves representing the bank in the business community, building a network of prospective customers, and managing commercial relationships effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage new commercial loan accounts and client relationships.
  • Enhance existing customer relationships by providing financial solutions.
  • Increase the bank's deposit base through various products.
  • Build and maintain a list of at least 15 targeted prospect profiles.
  • Strategize and execute a call plan to meet individual and team sales objectives.
  • Manage and service commercial relationships by interviewing applicants and obtaining financial data.
  • Evaluate financial information to determine acceptable credit risks.
  • Approve loans within assigned lending authority and company policies.
  • Recommend credits outside lending authority to the next level or Loan Committee.
  • Monitor existing loans for conformity to terms and conditions.
  • Participate with senior lending officers on larger, complex credits.
  • Monitor market conditions and make recommendations to maintain competitiveness.
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of all commercial products to facilitate cross-selling.
  • Analyze financial statements and related information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of Commercial Lending experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated skills in commercial credit underwriting, business development, and portfolio management.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to cross-sell banking products including loans and deposits.
  • Self-motivated with effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in analyzing financial statements.
  • Sound business discretion, good judgment, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of regulations, compliance standards, and market trends.

Nice-to-haves

  • Basic knowledge of personal computer hardware and software skills including MS Word and Excel.
  • Familiarity with Bankway, Salesforce, Google Mail, and LinkedIn.
