About the position

Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital in Rhinelander, WI is seeking a VP - PATIENT CARE & CHIEF NURSING OFFICER to join our team! The Vice President of Patient Care Services/ Chief Nurse Officer is responsible for the practice of nursing and associated outcomes within their respective Business Unit(s) by ensuring consistency in the standard of nursing practice across the clinical settings. As a member of the executive team, supports and facilitates an interdisciplinary team approach to the overall delivery of care to patients, families, and the community. This includes creating a culture where collaboration is valued and excellence in clinical care redesign and education is promoted and achieved to meet the evolving needs. Leads quality, safety, Pathway to Excellence, workforce planning and stabilization, and transforming initiatives. Ensures the vision of and the advancement of the profession of Nursing is considered in the strategy plan and framework.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure consistency in the standard of nursing practice across clinical settings.
  • Support and facilitate an interdisciplinary team approach to patient care delivery.
  • Create a culture where collaboration is valued and excellence in clinical care is promoted.
  • Lead quality, safety, and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Promote professional development and improvement in workflow and workload for nursing staff.
  • Implement and validate best practices in nursing.
  • Represent the Aspirus nursing division in system initiatives and committees.
  • Provide strategic vision and leadership for areas of responsibility.
  • Develop short- and long-term strategies, goals, objectives, and plans.

Requirements

  • Valid and current Wisconsin or Michigan registered nurse license or compact license.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school required (BSN).
  • Master's in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or similar required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of healthcare experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years in roles with progressive leadership and scope.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in Leadership/HC and/or DNP preferred.
