The Volunteer Manager is responsible for the implementation, oversight, and continuous improvement of the organization’s individual volunteer, group volunteerism, and in-kind engagement programs. This role ensures consistent execution of established processes while maintaining a strong pipeline of new volunteers and a high-quality participant experience. This is a manager role focused on execution, operational excellence, and outcomes. The Volunteer Manager works within an established organizational framework and aligns fully with leadership direction. Ownership is expected for results, performance, and volunteer experience—while adhering to defined program structure, priorities, and decision-making authority. This position operates in alignment with CFRE competencies and the AFP Code of Ethical Standards, with emphasis on relationship management, stewardship, and ethical practice.
