About The Position

JARC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through education, training, and support services. We are seeking a Full-Time Vocational Instructor to join our team and help our clients build meaningful skills. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in education, Human Services, or a related field (or equivalent related experience).
• Ability to use Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills including ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Director, public groups, and families.
• Good people skills - you're patient, clear, and encouraging
• Ability to complete background screening and drug testing requirements.
• Valid Florida Driver's License and ability to drive a van.

Responsibilities

• Teach practical job skills in areas like computer lab, cooking, mailroom, and environmental services.
• Help clients develop appropriate workplace habits and behaviors.
• Participate in all required staff meetings, training and development.
• Track progress and maintain accurate documentation.
• Work closely with staff, clients, and families to support individual goals.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development.
