About the position
Old Adobe Elementary School is seeking a part-time Visual Art teacher for students in Tk-6th grades. The role focuses on providing art education aligned with VAPA standards, facilitating hands-on experiences such as clay art creation, and organizing an annual Art Show in the spring.
Responsibilities
- Teach visual art to Tk-6th grade students.
- Engage students in creating clay art pieces using the school's kiln.
- Organize and host an Art Show in the spring.
- Develop lesson plans that align with VAPA standards.
- Provide a supportive and creative learning environment.
Requirements
- Teaching Certification (Preferred)
- CPR Certification
- First Aid Certification
- Experience working with children
- Classroom experience
- 1 year of teaching experience (Preferred)
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of VAPA standards
