Responsibilities

  • Provide fast, friendly service to guests in all ice cream areas of the Visitors' Center.
  • Work as an Ice Cream Cashier, Ice Cream Dishwasher, Ice Cream Busser, and/or Ice Cream scooper.
  • Scoop and serve ice cream following portion and quality standards.
  • Assist with retrieval of ice cream orders and stock ice cream in the freezer.
  • Assist with defrosting the freezers and other general cleanup.
  • Serve customers by taking orders on POS system, taking customer payment, making change correctly, and maintaining an accurate cash drawer.
  • Stock set-up areas behind counters daily and replenish supplies as needed.
  • Clean all shelving and service areas behind counters daily.
  • Maintain high level of cleanliness and organization in the ice cream area at all times.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on all ice cream flavors (and ingredients) to answer customer questions.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors, and the general public.
  • Communicate effectively.
  • Utilize a computer/POS System.
  • Act as a team player and be able to interact with staff at all levels of the company.
  • Possess strong customer service skills.
  • Follow written or verbal instruction.
  • Read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Compute basic arithmetic.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Food service experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Must obtain and provide a Food Handler's Certification within 30 days of hire.
