About the position

The SUNY Cortland Psychology Department is accepting applications for a two-year postdoctoral fellowship beginning in Fall 2025. This position is offered as part of the Promoting Recruitment, Opportunity, Diversity, Inclusion and Growth plus (PRODiG+) program designed to advance two goals: (1) increasing the number and share of excellent diverse faculty committed to advancing ideas of diversity, equity and inclusion; and (2) strengthening the pipelines for retention and support of these candidates. Throughout the fellowship, the successful candidate will receive mentoring on how to thrive as a faculty member at a comprehensive college, balancing the demands of teaching, research and service. Upon completion of the two-year fellowship, the candidate will have the opportunity to be considered for a tenure-track position. The Psychology Department at SUNY Cortland offers a B.A. and B.S. in Psychology, a minor in Psychology, a minor in Psychology in Schools, and a minor in Forensic Psychology. Our typical class size is 30, while class sizes in upper division labs and capstone courses tend to be around 12-20.
