About the position
The Visiting Assistant Professor in Insurance & Risk Management at the University of Cincinnati will focus on teaching and research within the insurance and risk management discipline. This role is situated within the Department of Finance and involves engaging with the Lindner College of Business's initiatives, including teaching two courses per semester and participating in research activities. The appointment is for two years, from August 15, 2025, to August 14, 2027.
Responsibilities
- Teach entry-level and upper-division insurance/risk management courses as determined by the department chair.
- Collaborate with related academic programs and faculty and staff.
- Engage in insurance and risk management-focused research, potentially in collaboration with other Lindner IRM faculty.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Doctorate in Insurance and Risk Management or related field with a focus in insurance and risk management (e.g., Finance, Economics).
Nice-to-haves
- Demonstrated teaching excellence, particularly in teaching entry-level RMI courses.
- Demonstrated research activity focused on insurance and risk management data and empirical analysis.
