About the position

The Virtualization Compute & Storage Architect will be responsible for designing, validating, and implementing scalable system infrastructure, collaborating with professionals to determine functional and non-functional requirements for software and applications. This role is critical for the success of high-level government programs and involves working in a collaborative environment with various stakeholders. The position requires up to 25% travel in the Maryland, Virginia, and DC area.

Responsibilities

  • Design, validate, and implement scalable system infrastructure such as servers and databases
  • Evaluate and analyze complex systems architecture for performance and efficiency improvements
  • Define coding and technological architectural standards
  • Develop and document company's hardware and network infrastructure setups
  • May code and write scripts to automate tasks

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field or applicable work experience
  • Secret security clearance
  • Eight years of experience as a Virtual Architect, preferably in the government sector
  • Proven experience as a virtual architect
  • Hands on experience with software development and system administration
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and databases
  • Experience in cloud technologies
