About the position

The Video Producer at Spring Independent School District is responsible for creating high-quality video content that enhances the district's brand and communication strategies. This role involves all stages of video production, from planning and scripting to filming and editing, ensuring that the content aligns with the district's goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in video production and a passion for storytelling, while also managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Produce, direct, and edit video content, ensuring high-quality standards for lighting, audio, and post-production.
• Plan, schedule, and conduct interviews with various stakeholders to gather relevant content that aligns with project goals.
• Write and refine scripts for promotional, informational, and event-based videos that align with the district's messaging and goals.
• Set up and manage studio or on-location shoots, including lighting and sound equipment for various district-related projects.
• Collaborate with the Communications team to develop ideas for promotional and informational videos that highlight district programs, activities, and achievements.
• Manage the district's video archive and ensure timely uploads to the website and social media platforms.
• Lead the production of video podcasts, livestream events, and other multimedia projects, applying innovative storytelling techniques.
• Assist in creating social media content, ensuring alignment with the district's overall digital strategy.
• Stay up-to-date on video production trends and recommend new tools or approaches to enhance the district's digital presence.
• Assist with photography assignments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Film, Multimedia Production, or related field from an accredited college or university.
• Three years of experience in video production, editing, and digital media creation.
• Portfolio showcasing professional video production work.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in school district communications, media outlets or marketing video production.
• Familiarity with current video/drone technologies, digital platforms, and media trends.
