About the position

The Vice President, Strategy at Highwire will play a critical leadership role in supporting the growth and execution of the agency's strategy function. Reporting directly to the EVP, Head of Strategy, the VP will collaborate cross-functionally to implement strategic frameworks that address clients' business and marketing challenges. This position involves crafting innovative, insight-driven strategies that deliver measurable results, guiding account teams, and mentoring junior strategists while ensuring strategic excellence across all client engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the EVP, Strategy to develop and implement strategic frameworks that address clients' business challenges.
  • Support the creation of experience and engagement strategies that align with clients' business objectives.
  • Act as a co-leader on key accounts, providing strategic counsel and ensuring successful delivery of client objectives.
  • Lead strategic discovery sessions to gather insights and develop solutions that meet client needs.
  • Build and nurture long-term client relationships, contributing to business growth through exceptional strategy execution.
  • Play a key role in the new business process, helping to develop engagement strategies and craft persuasive pitch narratives.
  • Mentor and guide junior strategists and team members to elevate their strategic thinking and client engagement skills.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of strategy into client campaigns.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in strategic communications, marketing, or related fields.
  • Proven track record of leading successful client engagements.
  • Demonstrated ability to create strategic frameworks and deliver integrated solutions.
  • Strong client-facing skills with the ability to build senior-level client relationships.
  • Experience working across disciplines, including digital marketing, creative, and analytics.
  • Proven success in supporting new business development and driving growth within existing accounts.
  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills with experience developing junior team members.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
