About the position

The Vice President, Strategy at Highwire Public Relations is a pivotal leadership role focused on driving the agency's strategic function. This position involves collaborating with internal teams and external clients to develop and implement innovative, insight-driven strategies that address business challenges and deliver measurable results. The VP will guide account teams, mentor junior strategists, and ensure strategic excellence across all client engagements, while also supporting new business efforts and fostering long-term client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the EVP, Strategy to develop and implement strategic frameworks that address clients' business challenges.
  • Act as a co-leader on key accounts, providing strategic counsel and ensuring successful delivery of client objectives.
  • Lead strategic discovery sessions to gather insights and develop solutions that meet client needs.
  • Play a key role in the new business process, helping to develop engagement strategies and craft persuasive pitch narratives.
  • Mentor and guide junior strategists and team members to elevate their strategic thinking and client engagement skills.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of strategy into client campaigns.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in strategic communications, marketing, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated ability to create strategic frameworks and deliver integrated solutions.
  • Strong client-facing skills with the ability to build and nurture senior-level client relationships.
  • Experience working across disciplines, including digital marketing, creative, and analytics.
  • Proven success in supporting new business development and driving growth within existing accounts.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred.
