About the position

The Vice President of Sales at Astound Broadband is a senior leadership role responsible for driving sales strategy and operations within the telecommunications industry. This position focuses on maximizing revenue and profitability across local markets while promoting a diverse and inclusive work environment. The VP of Sales will leverage data and technology to enhance sales performance, oversee long-range goal-setting, and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the successful deployment of products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Support and promote Astound's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) goals and initiatives.
  • Establish and implement processes, tools, and structures to support the sales organization's operations.
  • Use data and technology to measure and monitor sales processes, identify issues, and enhance performance.
  • Oversee long-range goal-setting processes within the sales organization based on budget collaboration, forecasts, and incentive programs.
  • Analyze the business environment, including customer, market, and competitor activity to coordinate sales promotional opportunities.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of sales leaders, including Directors and Managers, and implement necessary changes.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Astound's products, services, pricing, and selling methods to lead regional sales deployment strategy.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, including executive and sales leadership.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in regional sales leadership or similar function within the telecommunications industry.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Experience in business development, competitor and market analysis.
  • Proven experience in building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Experience in developing sales forecasts and targets, sales performance evaluation, budgetary control, resource planning, and risk management.
  • Strong negotiation, organizational, and goal-setting skills.
  • Ability to learn and maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and services.
  • Strong communication and strategic thinking skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a senior leadership role within a telecommunications company.
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools for sales performance monitoring.
