About the position

We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Oncology Sales to lead, scale and develop our sales team for our ultra-sensitive liquid biopsy & precise monitoring oncology test, Northstar. This position will have significant responsibility and impact within the organization and will be considered part of the ELT. The VP of Oncology Sales will have full P&L/budget responsibility and will oversee a team of 30+ reps, managers, and area directors. This is an opportunity to build a world class sales team with the gold standard of Oncology Diagnostic testing, in a market that is expected to reach approximately $25-35 billion globally by 2030.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to drive adoption of Northstar and related oncology testing solutions
  • Responsible for building and scaling the sales team structure, including; hiring and developing sales representatives, managers, and directors.
  • Lead, mentor, and support Sales Directors and their regional teams to drive performance and growth.
  • Drive revenue growth and consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Design and implement territory expansion plans to maximize market coverage and sales efficiency
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Operations, and other departments to ensure alignment and seamless execution of go-to-market strategies
  • Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, major cancer centers, healthcare systems, and strategic accounts
  • Provide regular reporting and insights to Executive Leadership Team on market trends, competitive landscape, and sales performance
  • Continuously refine sales processes, tools, and methodologies to increase effectiveness and scalability
  • Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement within the sales organization
  • Represent BillionToOne at oncology conferences, trade shows, and other external events

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in the laboratory/diagnostics industry
  • Experience building and managing a team of 100 or more sales representatives through a multi-layer team structure
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets and building high-performing teams
  • Experience scaling sales organizations in high-growth environments
  • Deep understanding of healthcare provider sales cycles and decision-making processes
  • Experience in oncology diagnostics and/or precision medicine market preferred
  • Knowledge of liquid biopsy landscape and competing technologies
  • Strong relationships with oncology key opinion leaders and cancer centers
  • Demonstrated success in territory expansion and sales infrastructure development
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Experience presenting to executive leadership teams and boards
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
