Vice President of Product, Trading

Forge is seeking an experienced Product Manager/Leader to drive product development for their private market trading platform. The role involves owning the vision, strategy, and product roadmap for the next-gen trading platform, delivering measurable customer outcomes and supporting the company's strategies and objectives. The ideal candidate should have deep customer empathy, domain knowledge in capital markets and trading, and the ability to balance risks and rewards in a rapidly evolving asset class/market. They will also be responsible for managing a team of product managers, establishing success metrics, and continuously measuring the performance and impact of the product.

• Own the vision, strategy, and product roadmap for the next-gen trading platform
• Deliver measurable customer outcomes through a trusted experience tailored to the needs of market participants
• Deliver business impact supporting the company's strategies, objectives, and legal, regulatory, and compliance needs
• Acknowledge and influence the evolving structure and dynamics of the private secondaries market
• Consider and inform the next-gen technology architecture in partnership with Technology leadership, platform teams, and other product teams
• Bring deep customer empathy, domain knowledge, and a systems-thinking lens to inform product strategy and development
• Engage deeply with customers, SMEs, and key internal stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into product requirements
• Work closely with stakeholders across the organization to ensure effective collaboration and alignment of objectives
• Manage uncertainty within a rapidly evolving asset class/market and make informed decisions
• Work closely with the UX research and design team to create prototypes for validation and testing
• Partner with engineering, program management, design, and other product teams to prioritize features, define product requirements, and drive execution
• Create detailed user stories when necessary and ensure prioritization aligns with strategic objectives
• Attend agile ceremonies and hold additional sessions as needed to ensure proper and timely documentation of User Stories
• Evangelize product strategy to internal and external audiences
• Coach and manage a team of 2-3 product managers, setting high standards of performance and fostering a culture of innovation
• Establish success metrics and continuously measure the performance and impact of the product, making necessary improvements
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
• Proven track record of successfully building new products from scratch in an environment with high ambiguity/uncertainty
• Minimum of 4 years experience in capital markets, especially focused on trading

• Minimum of 4 years experience in capital markets, especially focused on trading, with an intimate knowledge of trading-related customer journeys, investment fund management, and risk management
• Deep customer empathy, domain knowledge, and a systems-thinking lens
• Demonstrated experience in capital markets and trading to inform product strategy and development
• Ability to engage deeply with customers, SMEs, and key internal stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into product requirements
• Strong collaboration and alignment skills with stakeholders across the organization, including technology brokers/sales teams, legal & compliance, data, marketing, and operations
• Ability to manage uncertainty within a rapidly evolving asset class/market and make informed decisions
• Experience working closely with UX research & design teams to create prototypes for validation and testing
• Ability to prioritize features, define product requirements, and drive execution in partnership with engineering, program management, design, and other product teams
• Experience in creating detailed user stories and ensuring prioritization aligns with strategic objectives
• Strong communication skills to evangelize product strategy to internal and external audiences
• Experience coaching and managing a team of product managers, setting high standards of performance and fostering a culture of innovation
• Ability to establish success metrics and continuously measure the performance and impact of the product, making necessary improvements.

• Competitive annual salary range of $220,000 - $240,000
