About the position

The Vice President of Global Water Sales at Autodesk will lead the sales efforts for the Water Infrastructure business, focusing on enabling water utilities, municipalities, and engineering service providers to design and create sustainable solutions. This role requires a visionary leader who can drive business development, optimize processes, and foster a culture of diversity and inclusion while managing a global team and collaborating with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Tracks, identifies, develops and pursues opportunities for new and existing clients
  • Leads and supports negotiations with clients, partners, and consultants
  • Ensures systems to track progress
  • Leads capture activities
  • Serves as advisor on pricing
  • Uses networks to promote Autodesk
  • Budget owner and need to be able to effectively manage short and long-term trade-offs
  • Ensures compliance and role model of Autodesk Culture Code
  • Keeps abreast of trends in business environment globally
  • Strong talent management capability, talent builder, ability to influence and motivate global organization
  • Leads effectively in a global capacity, recognizing and respecting various cultural norms
  • Optimizes infrastructure and processes for scalability and efficiency
  • Looks for process improvement opportunities to facilitate faster, higher quality experiences
  • Standardizes and eliminates duplication of effort across the portfolio
  • Positions Autodesk as an employer of choice and articulates differentiators and value propositions
  • Values diversity and inclusion and drives diversity and belonging objectives.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of broad business leadership experience
  • 10+ years in sales
  • 8+ years in the software industry, with SaaS experience
  • 5+ years minimum of experience partnering and influencing at the CEO Staff level
  • Strong cross-functional leader who can effectively partner across all functions and levels
  • Experience in the Water Infrastructure sector, utilities market, and/or GIS systems
  • Appreciation for customer scenarios, pain points, personas across water utilities and municipalities
  • Proven ability to design and execute high performing teams
  • People-focused leader with ability to build creative, collaborative teams
  • Crisp, clear communicator at all levels internally and externally
  • Balanced leader that makes recommendations based on data and EQ
  • Creative problem-solver who is an active listener
  • Global experience and willingness to travel globally as needed.
