About the position

The position leads the Enterprise Insights function at Novo Nordisk Inc. (NNI), serving as the center of excellence for strategic and tactical guidance. This role is responsible for providing actionable insights to drive evidence-based decision-making across the organization. The position oversees multiple business unit-aligned insights teams and collaborates closely with key stakeholders, including the Executive Team, to ensure alignment and prioritization of plans. The role also involves advising on the development of strategic and commercial plans based on market insights and trends.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the generation of actionable data and insights tailored to business functions and therapeutic areas.
  • Oversee the implementation of robust measurement frameworks to track the value generated by data-driven initiatives.
  • Serve as a key advisor to the NNI Executive & Leadership Team regarding strategic and commercial plans.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and Global Marketing to improve insight development and delivery.
  • Engage with functions and therapeutic areas to identify opportunities for insights to drive value and support decision-making.
  • Direct the Insight Leads and provide necessary guidance.
  • Evaluate the customer-facing size and structure for NNI commercial teams and make recommendations based on various analyses.
  • Lead commercial planning for the sales force, including call planning and resource allocation.
  • Manage strategic market intelligence activities, including competitive intelligence and market landscaping.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and advanced degree (MBA or scientific degree) required.
  • At least 15 years of progressive business analysis and services experience within the Pharmaceutical industry.
  • International marketing/commercial effectiveness experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with management of outside vendors and marketing research methods preferred.
  • Prior leadership experience required, with the ability to lead and manage large teams (40+).
  • Proven track record of driving performance and achieving results.
  • Strong knowledge of Pharmaceutical Market Research Information sources.
  • Demonstrated experience with competitive intelligence and patient support programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
